VaxEquity is a new biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of RNA vaccines and therapeutics for the treatment of serious and life-threatening diseases. Utilising innovative saRNA technology, we are developing novel products targeting unmet medical need that can be rapidly produced and delivered at scale. This is an exciting time to join VaxEquity at the beginning of our scientific journey and establishment as an independent company.

We now seek an experienced Project Director to lead our Project and Program Management activities.


This person will be critical to the successful delivery of VaxEquity’s internal and growing portfolio of partnered projects as we develop our novel technology for RNA vaccines and therapeutics.

Key responsibilities of this high-profile role will include:

  • Spearheading the successful delivery of short and long-term project objectives and outsourced activities, whilst ensuring adherence to the triple constraint of time, cost and scope.
  • Project leadership and management of internal and external Project Team meetings.
  • Working with the Scientific Operations team to generate and maintain integrated project plans (Gantt charts) with clear dependencies and defined critical path.
  • Use of scenario planning, contingency planning, risk assessment and project management best practices to ensure that all project risks are understood and mitigated.
  • Contribution to the development of PM systems, tools and best practices across all projects, including alignment with governance, reporting, budget and resource allocation.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Project Management experience gained within Pharma or Biotech, ideally including a formal PM qualification and a PhD in a relevant scientific
  • A thorough understanding of the lifecycle of a pharmaceutical product with an emphasis on research, development and manufacturing. Previous work with molecular technologies would be an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining integrated Gantt plans together with skills in critical path analysis, an understanding of financial and resource planning systems and demonstrable ability to manage project-level budget/resource estimates and actuals vs. plan.
  • Ability to maintain and analyse project information, and to integrate, distribute and communicate top line messages to the Executive team and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in outsourcing and managing activities conducted by CROs and CMOs.
